O-Zon… err… Dan Balan - Sugar Tunes !!

Blogged on August 6, 2007 at 23:23

Well… Following my previous post, I ended up at Balan’s MySpace! For those who don’t know, he was a member of the disco-pop-one-hit-wonder band O-Zone, and the guy behind the original “Numa Numa” song (it’s original name was “Dragonstea Din Tei“). He’s now going solo and changed his sound quite a bit, from old-school disco-pop to some sort of weird mix of pop+punk+rock.

But the reason why I’m writing this post on him, is that he did a remake of his own song, called “Sugar Tunes”. That’s the song on the YouTube video above. For those who enjoyed a good laugh at the original song and all it’s remakes on YouTube, this is some sort of “Original Remake”… And the video is quite funny, along with the rocky tune behind it! And, like the original, it’s darn catchy but ROCKING!!!!! LOL

Lyrics resemble a non-sense novel of some sort… Hilarious!
Read them after the break!

It’s stuck in my mind
This melody line
Mai-a-heee,Mai-a-ha-ha
It’s stuck in my mind
This melody line
Mai-a -heee, Mai-a-ha-ha
I found my role,
The gold is too cold.
I chose the yellow tie,
It fits well with her eyes.

10 weeks in a row
We were licking honey melon
On that tree,
It wasn’t me
I just found the way to say it.

Chorus:
Sugar tunes from nowhere made my day
Numa numa yey
Numa numa numa yey.
Jumping till i broke the wings of blame
I’m so glad i did it my way.

The gates are closed,
I came so close,
She said you’ve gotta try
Just listen to the signs.

10 weeks in a row
We were licking honey melon
On that tree,
It wasn’t me
I just found the way to say it.

Funny huh?? LOL
